Kalbarri enjoys a warm Mediterannean climate with refreshing afternoon ocean breezes.
The daytime temperature in Kalbarri ranges from a balmy 22C in winter to a warming 34C in the hottest month – February.
Rainfall is more frequent in winter and rare in summer, when calm morning seas make game-fishing a treat.
From March to May the weather is stunning, so this is inevitably Kalbarri’s busiest season.
July to October are the ideal months to catch the 800 species of wildflowers that bloom across Kalbarri National Park, and nearby townships. This time of year is also sees an increase in birdlife to the area.
September and October are the height of the whale-watching season, and cray-fishing begins in November.
